Wenatchee Wine Country- Come Tour the Valley

Wenatchee has some of the best wineries in the state. Take a weekend or several days to tour and enjoy many of the beautiful wineries around the Wenatchee Valley. Many wineries include daily tastings, bed and breakfasts, spas, and of course award winning dining experiences.

Wenatchee National Forest

Stretching across three counties, the Wenatchee National Forest is a perfect spot for rock climbing, horseback riding, camping, hiking, picnicking  and more. With almost 2 million acres the Wenatchee National Forest extends along the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountain Range.

Ohme Gardens

Truly a hidden treasure in Wenatchee Washington. The Ohme Gardens, the dream child of Herman and Ruth Ohme, has become an unexpected surprise in Wenatchee. Home to breath-taking foliage, relaxing walks and soothing atmospheres, the Ohme Gardens with it's majestic views of the valley is not to be missed when visiting or staying in Wenatchee.

Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center

Covering two buildings in downtown Wenatchee, the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center offers visitors a tour of what life has been like in the Valley for the last hundred years. Focusing on local and regional history, natural sciences and the arts, also hosts a variety of special events and family programs throughout the year.

Admission to the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center will be free THIS Saturday, September 24, between 10am and 4pm with coupons downloaded from the Smithsonian Magazine web site. WVMCC is among thousands of museums across the U.S. participating in Smithsonian Magazine Day. Coupons for free admission for two are available at www.smithsonianmag.com/museumday.

Local Runs and Relays

Wenatchee supports many local marathons, races and runs throughout the year. There is the Hog Loppet Ski Trek which is an annual 21-mile cross-country ski trek from Mission Ridge to Blewett Pass. There is the Jr Ridge to River Relay where athletes from 5-12 can tackle it alone or go as a team and our annual Wenatchee Marathon. This race includes four events including a marathon, half marathon relay and a 10K run.

Washington State Apple Blossom Festival

One of the oldest major festivals in Washington State, this event held at the end of April each year includes parades, car shows, carnivals, fairs, music, food, golf tournaments, art shows and much more.
